Although the area is most popular for fishing, walking and cycling, there are many other pursuits to consider.

The area has a great reputation for its many and varied golf courses - from the Royal Dornoch links courses to the remote 9-hole Durness course. Click the link at the side of the page for course details.

The remote North West Highlands of Scotland are a wild landscape that lends itself to adventure, discovery and exploration. Why not try a days Sea Kayaking or more at Cape Adventure International - only 45 minutes from The Overscaig.

If you are interested in Mountain Biking why not visit Highland Wildcat Trails. Located in a superb coastal location adjacent to the East Sutherland village of Golspie, within an hour's drive of The Overscaig, the trails have been designed and constructed to the highest standards.

Alternatively, if you dream of galloping along a deserted beach or riding through the heather why not contact Highlands Unbridled. They are based in Doll, just north of Golspie on the east coast - less than an hour from The Overscaig.
