An Atmospheric Sunset - June 2007
Courtesy of Barry & Diana, this image is taken late one June evening. In the North Highlands at mid-summer the sun sets very late and it doesn't really get dark at all, if the sky is clear.

Oldshoremore Beach at sunset
The beach at Oldshoremore is less than 1 hour from the Overscaig - beautiful and peaceful.

Winter at Overscaig
Despite the photo, the last two years at Overscaig has seen relatively little snow and the road never closes so we are not quite as cut off as you might expect.

Little Loch Shin, Lairg
Loch Shin is dammed just above Lairg and the river is dammed just below Lairg forming Little Loch Shin. This is the view looking north-west from Lairg.

Oldshoremore
Just west of Kinlochbervie, this yet another wonderful and quiet beach in Sutherland. Perfect sea with virtually no seaweed.

Ben Hee and Loch Fiag
This view of Ben Hee is taken from the southern shore of Loch Fiag - a 2 1/2 hour walk. Ben Hee can be approached from Loch Merkland a much shorter walk in.

Ben Klibreck
At 962m/3156ft, Ben Klibreck is the 3rd highest Munro in the the Northern Highlands. Standing alone in the surrounding countryside the views from the top (on a clear day) are superb.

Sangobeg
This beautiful beach is a few miles east of Durness. Golden sand stretching for about 2/3 of a mile.
